Frequently asked questions about Snappl
General questions
How is my Snappl delivered and installed?
Easy to deliver, quick to install, even in hard-to-reach locations
A Snappl pool is delivered in clever, compact components that two people can easily carry. The largest panel is just 6 metres long and 1.1 metres high, so there is no need for heavy cranes or specialist transport.
Thanks to their convenient size, all the components can be taken to the installation site with ease, even in gardens with difficult access. This saves both time and substantial installation costs.
Our pool equipment is pre-assembled into a complete, ready-to-use kit. All that remains is to connect it: quick, simple and hassle-free.
All you need to provide:
- A level base
- An electricity connection
- A way to fill the pool with water
Then all that is left to do is… enjoy your new pool!
Can I install my Snappl in a small garden too?
Absolutely!
Snappl is specifically designed to fit in small gardens and gardens with difficult access. As every component is delivered in manageable sections, no heavy lifting equipment is needed, and two people can easily carry everything to the installation site. Even a narrow passage or small gate is no problem.
So you can enjoy a stylish, fully fledged pool even in a smaller garden.
What preparation is needed before my Snappl can be installed?
Very little! Snappl is designed to need hardly any preparation. All you need to arrange in advance is:
- A level, stable base for the pool.
- An electricity connection for the pool equipment.
- A way to fill the pool with water (a tap, garden hose or another water source).
For the best result, we recommend a cement-stabilised sand base finished with a thin layer of screed. This creates a perfectly level foundation, ensuring a straight waterline parallel to the edge of the pool. If you need help with this, just let us know.
We take care of everything after that. Thanks to the compact components and our pre-assembled equipment kit, your Snappl will soon be installed and ready to use. Would you prefer to outsource the preparation work? We can arrange that for you too.
Do I need a permit for my Snappl?
Often, no permit is needed. As a Snappl is movable, much like a hot tub, spa or above-ground pool, it is usually exempt from permit requirements.
However, we recommend checking with your local council or municipality to make sure you comply with all local rules.
Please note: if you need to add extra hard surfacing or want to install your Snappl partly or fully in the ground, you will usually need to notify the local authority, and a permit may be required. Always check with your municipality in advance.
Can I install my Snappl in the ground too?
Of course! Every Snappl is built from highly durable materials that can remain in the ground for years without any problems. The entire frame is made of stainless steel, while the cladding, depending on the configuration, consists of aluminium (for above-ground installation), cement boards or ceramic tiles. Unlike wooden pools, which can start to rot in the ground over time.
The frame has been carefully designed and engineered to perform perfectly in both situations:
- Above ground: strong enough to withstand the full water pressure with ease.
- In-ground: sturdy enough to withstand pressure from the soil, even when the pool is empty.
Thanks to this carefully considered construction, a Snappl can even be installed partly in the ground and partly above it: stylish and flexible.

How is a Snappl built?
Every Snappl is made from highly durable materials designed to last for many years, even when fully installed in the ground. The sturdy frame is made of stainless steel using our patented system, with a cladding of painted aluminium panels.
When the pool is installed in the ground, we finish it with cement boards or large ceramic tiles that are perfectly suited to remaining in the soil, unlike wooden pools, which are much more prone to deterioration.
Here is how we build your Snappl, step by step:
- Stainless steel structure fitted with 10 cm of high-quality insulation.
- The exterior is finished with aluminium panels.
- Cement boards are fitted on the inside and covered with a soft felt lining.
- A preformed liner is installed to make the pool completely watertight maakt.
- All pool fittings (skimmer, return jets, etc.) are installed and the equipment is connected.
- Fill with water… and enjoy your swim!
This construction gives you a pool that is both stylish and built to last for generations.
Where is the pool equipment housed?
Your Snappl’s equipment is housed in a separate equipment cabinet placed near the heat pump. This keeps all components neatly organised and correctly installed.
The standard solution is a compact cabinet measuring 1.5 m (length) × 0.65 m (depth) × 0.8 m (height).
An alternative is an elongated cabinet measuring 3.2 m (length) × 0.55 m (depth) × 0.55 m (height). This can also serve as a garden bench, discreetly integrating the equipment into your garden.
With this bench configuration, the cabinet must be placed at least 3.5 metres from the pool.
When preparing your project, we will discuss which solution best suits the layout and look of your garden. That way, we bring equipment and design together beautifully.
